The Epic System of US.... Binary/Trinary/Quadruple
« on: August 10, 2009, 11:38:11 AM »
While fiddling with some buttons, I had an idea. I created the ultimate system. A binary system with two stars that has same masses and diameter. Yes, I also put planets nearby how they occur. Some of them does get flung due to the stars. The stars name are Beta Sun and Alpha Sun.

I did made a trinary system, the system name is HD 188753. The central star is being orbited by a binary, b and c. B is the larger and is a orange type. While the c is a red dwarf.

I made a random system highly unstable, 10 star system (can't find file :( ), and a cool four star system.

Plaxar - 4

But... the first star is a high mass star. while a neutron star (the second star) is more massive than the first star's mass.

But a neutron star is smaller than a normal star.

No buddy, i rule evry where.

You want see interesting binary systems?

Here i upload you 2 of mine.
1.st is two neutrons stars who are the center of the systems and dozens of planets who orbit them

and here we have a binary planetsystem where both have identical mass and around the star Eta Carinae.

Andreas,
Please don't ridicule the accomplishments of others. It makes you seem insecure.

And thanks for sharing. That makes you awesome.

Hey Dan, the neutronstar binary was alot of work, maybe you can put it in Universe Sandbox?

It is a very spectacular system with 2 neutron stars and dozens of planets and it is stable.

and did you see my dwarf galaxy system?

i found a source showing binary, triple and quadruple star systems and how they orbit each other. http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/orbits.html
i have to say, making a quadruple star stystem on US may prove difficult...

Dan did make a system of the second in trinary. I think it's called "The Figure 8" in US?

Figure 8?

Quadruples are easy, although I purposely didn't make  mine stable (see Plaxar file) I posted it in this topic.

Dan did make a system of the second in trinary. I think it's called "The Figure B" in US?
IIRC it was Tony Dunn who provided the Figure 8 Sim . More interesting unusual patterns created with 3 to 4 bodies can be found here :
http://www.orbitsimulator.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1181200864/30 ,
initial data were computed using various internet sources .

Correct. If you click on the Info button after loading the system, it lists Tony with the credit for that simulation.

I know this is WAY off-topic, but it kinda is...

Dan, from that
Very awesome. I hadn't seen that thread.
, I am thinking you go on there. So... do you like my resonance tests and other things? (See page 3, 4, and 5)

Yeah, If ternary (3) is quinary (5) is. Senary (6) is too. Castor is a senary. 91 Aquarii is quinary, I made a file for it, but it's unstable and it was total estimation and imagination, as wikipedia didn't give enough info.

Here it is...
