larger population does not necessarily mean suffering. it often does, but not always. Look at the usa (url). top 1 or 2% in population and pretty rich

i agree to earth-sized world. i think population should be chosen by whoever the owner of the nation/region thinks. what they do, does not affect what you do, so why does it matter.

I agree that population should be decided by yourself, but I don't think anyone should have over 5 billion people per nation.

I think we should find some values which make sense compared to each other. This is a community map after all. Things should fit together, and I think we should aim at realistic values from Earth's current perspective. But if we can't agree on it let's just draw the map and forget about official populations.

in nation states there is no diplomacy and war, and poverty, etc. they only exist in number form on web calculators. if i make kallisto's poverty rate 100%, will your irl life be ruined? will you be affected in any other way except that you see numbers on a screen?

also, if nationstates is realistic, then lets use nationstates population.
