Found a shelter while exploring the forest kol.

Bong must've been there before me.

Apparently they worship Bong.

I'm not sure I understand Danish anymore.

This place is a bit depressing. But also peaceful. I have no idea who goes there to write these things.
"Here I grew up. Here I am at home. Here I am gone."

I considered drawing a hammer and sickle for several hours while sitting there.

It is also true that I have an instrument for measuring communism.

It says "sug bong og vær glad", which would basically mean "suck bong and be happy".

The second one says "god bong" (good bong in Danish).

The third one says "for go bong i dag" (I am guessing "go" is a lazy way of saying "god", in which case it would mean "for good bong today").

2 blocks away from my house is the wilderness, sorta. You have to cross 2 roads to get there.

Nature walks aren't super appealing in the dead of winter though...

I like some of the seasonal variation though, it would be boring to go to the same areas if they stayed the same all the time I think. But I can't really say I enjoyed spending a lot of time at the shelter and running in place to avoid freezing too much today, kol.

Trees with snow on look nice. But trees with very green leaves or colorful leaves on them also look nice. Dead pre-spring/pre-winter trees look boring though. I can agree with Yqt I guess.

Yesterday I cycled more than 35 km, through some of the most slippery, muddy/frozen forest paths I've ever tried (not all of the distance, fortunately), didn't get any pics from the trip though, as I had to transport a lot of things which made it probably my hardest cycling trip yet. I can't say nature is just outside my door, but getting to it is no problem, especially not with a bike. Have you considered that, Bong?

(I know USA doesn't have a very developed bike-infrastructure).

It would be unlike me to get up and go walking somewhere, there are lots of rural and semi-urbanised areas around me, but also it's kind of rough. As in not-nice people.
My parents would probably be worried about me going off somewhere on my own too.
I have recently been thinking how good it would be to trek on the moors, the lake district, ect, but all that's a bit more than your average walk, i'd have to take a few supplies like water and snacks, I'd also have to look into map reading for if I got lost (although my phone has gps and google maps). That is something I'd love to try if i become when I'm independent and can go places.

Koldar, yes I suspected that, there was also a drawing of something like a cannabis leaf there.

About maps and getting lost, I don't think it's much of a problem (especially not if you have GPS and Google maps). Well on the 35 km trip I navigated using a map through muddy and frozen forest paths and stuff, if you just look for lakes in forests, or generally road branches (and their names), navigating isn't very hard. And if you end up getting lost, you could always just go in some direction until you find a road name and look it up in your map book. But yes, you might want to get an actual map book instead of just printing from Google Maps with a list of place names you can look up. I ended up going the wrong way a few times on the route, but if you just know when you lost the route and go back the same way until you know where you are on the map, you shouldn't get completely lost.

But yes, I also cycle on long trips, so walking is maybe different, because it is so much slower, meaning an area could seem much bigger, probably making it harder to find references/different places.

It shouldn't if the door is shut.

The only wilderness beyond my town are marshes and huge ponds. It feels like my town is the only solid ground I can stand on. There's a few small ponds in my neighborhood, and you can find lots of decaying wood there. (It's not nice to get cut by this wood, it would make your scab very itchy.) And during this time of the year, an eerie fog blankets the marshes and lakes every morning.
I had to chase my husky one winter morning into a small lake filled with mud, decaying matter, and tall grass. It was a hard chase, but I eventually caught him in the surrounding tall grass. The grass was too tall for him to look over, so I had an advantage to get him.
I don't really like living in Florida though; it's too hot and humid for me to live here. I'm thinking of moving north when I grow up.
