Well, the title speaks for its self....

The only use for them i have come up with is Aurora at the poles and solar fares coming from the sun (they look awesome)

I'll post more Ideas later...

Any additional thoughts on how this would work or the effect adding this would cause?

Thoughts on how the UI (user interface) might work for this feature?

On the sun it says "Send Solar Flare" under the delete rings button?

In the second tab a "Generate Magnetic Field: ON/OFF button?

maybe the faster the planet spins the bigger the magnetic field?

I think it would probably be best to have the field strength be entered manually, since many factors can affect magnetic field strength, including object age.

Solar flares could be objects... and maybe a sunspot simulation that as well as manually giving off solar flares (FiahOwl's idea), sunspots could randomly appear and give of solar flares randomly... And there needs to the be the C M X measurement of X-rays.

Consider this - I'm looking for a "game" exactly like Universe Sandbox but instead of particles governed by gravity, particles governed by electromagnetism.

The user would establish charge and magnetic field of the particle(s) and also design the "parent" electromagnetic field of which that particle would travel in.

I'd easily pay x10 the price of US for something like that.
