I backed up the Blacraft server files and shut down the server as I was going to turn it into FTB Monster, but I didn't see any way to do that with the control panel or FTP so I've asked support. So maybe FTB will be up tomorrow, but I also have to do other things tomorrow and Sunday so Idk when I'll have time. Blacraft will be down until FTB is up, and I'll post again when FTB is up.

I got reply from support who enabled custom jars and sent me this guide

I tried following it, the only thing that I didn't follow was deleting a folder in the root folder I had named 20140912Blacraft which I moved all the Blacraft files to. (I also copied them to my computer). So the folder can be deleted but in that case we have Blacraft only on my com unless you copy it to your own. But it's pretty big. Anyway permission to delete anything in the server root folder is granted.

I couldn't get it to work properly and couldn't connect and I don't have more time for this today. Kip/Yqt is welcome to work on it if they want and have time.

Right so some troubleshooting later and discussion with some people that will be playing on the server, I determined that it is the modpack that is bugged. So I tried out another one called "Horizons" on the server and it works and is up. I'd like to warn everyone that if Bla wants to try the Monster modpack again anything you do will be deleted. I backed up the monster pack files in case he does.

I'll look into it later, but I think that's one of the most important mods to have.

Edit: No, it doesn't seem to have IC. I'm considering, should we just play FTB Unleashed? Find another 1.6 modpack with IC? Manually try to add IC to some of the other packs that work maybe?
I think I'm leaning towards just FTB Unleashed...

I don't think Unleashed is a good idea, it doesn't have many updated versions of mods. Also, IC2 as a mod is pretty mediocre compared to other options, namely Thermal Expansion 3, in my opinion. As far as other modpacks go, I'd like to have you consider Direwolf.

I got TPPI to work after some derping around. The mod "Tinkers Construct" likes to crash while the server is booting up, might need to disable it later. I got around it by changing steps 4 and 5 from "Craftbukkit" to "Direwolf" (just as a fyi Bla)

I wasn't able to get rid of gregtech but I changed the configuration file so that it shouldn't change the crafting of IC2 things much. Like I said though, Thermal Expansion 3 has rendered IC2/GregTech mostly useless anyways. If it's a problem I'll look into it more. Looking through the crafting recipes of IC2 things, I can confirm that everything is really cheap and non-gregtech

so i need help getting resuced from smjjame's lava
this is a top view
grey part is stone, black is open area, green is where the ladder comes from, and orange is lava. yellow is the flowy part of lava. white lines are block divisions
so maybe if someone could make an empty zone that's 2 wide 3 long and 3 high, that'd be great to save me in lava. if no one's internested then i'll just die

bla i have 15 diamonds but i'm an idiot so i made 2 diamond dust (but we will need that for the MFE soon) and i used 3 on a diamond pick which was useless because i made the netherportal with a mold
ok so i'm at the netherportal and i went through it but i'm lagging really hard yqt if you could build some kind of wall around the portal so mobes can't get in that'd be helpful because i bet i have to wait like 5 minutes before i stop laggigng

The server has been unplayable laggy for me occasionally for the past couple days. I'm not talking a couple second latency issues, I'm talking few minutes to 10 minutes. I know some others are having issues to, it gets better if you give it an hour or so. Definitely not that convenient though.

I've had two half heart warrior encounters with lag. A laggy ghast when teleporting into the nether and my oxygen tank lagging out of my inventory while deep underwater. This will cause unfair deaths in the future, I'm just lucky enough to have avoided it for now

Nearly got killed a few times by the server lag too myself.

I did get killed by way of mob lag one time, but it was my fault for AFKng in the open and I did get my stuff back.

I've noticed several areas which are glitched caves in that theres a huge area which is missing the stone down to bedrock and even the soil sometimes, they don't always have flowing liquids though. Theres a really big one to the northeast by the hot springs which I was at yesterday, lots of flowing liquid there which could be contributing, however, it's pretty far from most peoples render distance. Might be just in range of Bla and Blotz though.
