For some reason, when I log into the server, I lag out and fall into the void.  :(

if you wait a few minutes it might be fixed. another possibility might be poor internet connection or laggy server

That's what I did with the storage I built before, but the design looked terribly bland and wasn't space efficient, so I wanted to make sure it was very space efficient for storage and also was divided into sections. :P
I haven't made plans on paper before, I planned a bridge in Google SketchUp though, but the floor plan is 2D so why not.

why demolished
I didn't like the old design. Space inefficient, annoying to navigate and very ugly (oak planks + sandstone).

For some reason, when I log into the server, I lag out and fall into the void.  :(
I don't think you can do anything to fix that other than trying to wait a bit and connect again.

usage of horse 'speedometer' which should be accurate to within 0.01%

1. locate the start, which is near the tall cone in desertopia
2. you may want to make sure the chest at the end of the track is empty and that the hopper is full
3. run through the pressure pads and keep going all the way to the end of the road. when you reach the end, turn left and place the horse somewhere where it won't activate the pressure pads accidentally
4. count the items inside the chest, add 2 to that amount, and divide by 2.5. this is the amount of seconds
5. the track is 90 meters long. you can figure out m/s with this
6. place items in chest back into hopper
7. no need to reset the redstone

start:
end:

I'll be honest...the only reason for the reconstruction is so I can use flashy pillars.

You'd have to be in creative mode to pull off some of the errors.

It's happened to me as well. Not quite as devastatiing, but still.

Edit: It got even more messed up. I don't think anybody should go on Blacraft because going on there makes it worse.

Might have to be a server wide rollback because who knows where else this is happening.

Edit: I decided to attempt one more trip (where the corrupted chunks randomized again) and to no surprise, the nether got chunk glitched as well. Was going to attempt to go by rail to spawntown, but there is no guarantee that I won't suddendly p;unge into lava. Besides, it looks like the glitched chunk over the farm might have cut off the rails.

I rolled back the entire world.

I suspect it is related to the limits on hard drive space which the server is allowed to use, but that's just a guess. Yesterday it couldn't start the server and said "disc quota exceeded", then I deleted a backup and started the server. I now deleted 26 old backups.

Anyway venturing into the nether etc. is a very bad idea if you see a glitch like this. You should simply not go on the server, you will obviously only make problems worse, but that is too late now.

Edit: It's not rolled back yet, currently it is refusing to do anything because "disc quota exceeded" despite me deleting 27 old backups (~11 GB). So I've contacted Multiplay support.

I don't know when the problems will be fixed yet.

I think the problems are fixed. I rolled back to the backup from this morning (which I had expected was taken after the problems you saw, but from what I see, the chunk in smj's farm isn't there, so I guess it works).

I haven't checked the Nether yet.

If you see any errors like that, it would be useful if you include the coords of it in the future (or take a screenshot with F3 info on). Then I can find it much faster.

The OnTime stats seem to have reset. I'll try to fix them.

The overworld is fixed up, though seems a bit laggy for some reason, however the nether still has screwed up chunks and the portal connection for the Oasis City portal got screwed up.

There are some issues with the server currently. Support finally came to help but told the backups don't count towards the quota, only the world, plugins and log files etc.

The quota is 2 GB. The worlds are around 530 MB, while the logs are about 1.4 GB. I'll download the logs and delete them from the server afterwards.

I don't recommend going on the server again before I type in here that you can.

Yea, I only came on to check if the overworld was fine (which by all appearances, it is) and to check the nether.
