View Distance Issue
« on: January 10, 2011, 09:29:18 PM »
For some reason, the view distance keeps gradually increasing, but what I see isn't zooming out. Also, zooming out past that distance doesn't fix it. I'm perplexed.  :-\

Perplexed I see? lol epic wording Darvince

I don't understand... If you zoom out stuff doesn't zoom out, so you try to zoom out further, and it zoesn't do anything? But you can't zoom out further, so how would you know?

I'm in a literary mood, okay?  :P

Only the statistic in the User Interface is messed up, and it is constantly increasing.

Several minutes ago, the statistic was about 150,000km. Now it is 235,779km. (I have it paused.)

I'm thinking it might be because my center of focus, (The one objects seem to orbit about) is set to the Barycenter, and that there are two different objects called Barycenter, or maybe just an issue with the Forest Moon texture. (I am using the forest moon texture twice in the simulation.)

That's odd.

Is your view changing too, are you actually zooming out?

Not sure why it would do this. It shouldn't unless your mouse is sending mousewheel rotations even when you're not hitting it.

Try this:
Main Menu > Options > Check 'Disable Mousewheel'

And see if it still happens. If not, uncheck it and see if it still happens.

Let me know if you see it happening again. It might be a barycenter issue, but it wouldn't have anything to do with the textures you're using.
