Irina and Jacob

WIP but probably won't be finished

I was going to use a real map of the coastline but I'm too lazy (no surprise there)

Edit: Before someone complains that <insert island of Greater Antilles> isn't there, I know.

i think this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1887_Atlantic_hurricane_season

was like this

(btw, for anyone confused, since it's from 1887 there's enough missing data that there were probably 4 to 10 more storms than it lists)

Though, some of those storms might not even be storms as well. No one will probably ever know.

The 2006 Atlantic hurricane season was characterized by weak Cape Verde systems and high shear in the Carribean throughout the season. Only 7 storms and 2 hurricanes managed to form. It also had a very late start, with a general lack of even invests throughout the early season. It was an inactive season for most of the Atlantic, although quite active for the Gulf coast with both Delilah and Antony making landfall near the Floridian panhandle.

In real life when we went to Hawaii a few years ago we got slammed by two hurricanes in a row.

i wonder if i could make it so that people can upload a text file with a specified name (preexisting or not) and have it able to be plotted by the cyclone track tool so that if dar or other people want they can have their seasons like here and i could customize the colors maybe or add different color schemes... actually no you know what the best thing would be is if i overlayed a map of universalis and had it so you could make universalian cyclones. but then you don't really have a corpus to learn from

data would be written like BA,0,2015082700,,,24.7N,138.6E,70,974,TS

where BA = two letter basin identifier (not used)
0 = storm number (sequential; not used)
yymmddhh
latitude
longitude
wind in kts
pressure in hPa
and TS = any of the codes which forces track color (TS or anything not listed does whatever that basin should, DS disturbance, ET extratropical, SS subtropical)

input? want?
