discussion here
i have to go to class in like 15 minutes so this is just some brief notes
me and fiah were talking about making some sort of language that we can speak to each other and we developed a gameplan
- define the phonology, keep it relatively simple, but interesting
this will be the first step, and we look forward to participation of people in this so they can have a say
- work to create a set of words from this phonology, maybe about 100, (with some defined usage within the existing lexicon) which will give us an extremely basic vocabulary which we can all refer back to so we know what we're trying to say to each other if we don't remember it
- create a verb paradigm (maybe just a simple tense system for now)
from that basis, the goal of the project is to take an extremely simplistic language, along the lines of toki pona... and transform it, as it is so limiting. we will start to define new linguistic features (words, morphemes, tenses, moods, etc) as we try to define new terms in our speech (and define them in the language, but not english) such that we learn what everyone is trying to add to the grammar, as each feature is needed
fiah if you feel like elaborating or correcting this go for it
