Buddhism may not have a god, but it does believe in some sort of divine/supernatrual spirit energy and nirvanna,
Belief in god(s) is the defining characteristic that divides theists from atheists, so Buddhism is still an atheistic religion.
while Atheism does not believe in anything outside of our percievable realm.
Atheists don't believe in gods, but if they believe in something outside our perceiveable realm that's not a god, they're still atheists.
Anyway that's not really relevant to whether Buddhism is an atheistic religion or not.
This is what I thought of when making the poll. I will add an option called "Spiritual Atheist" for this description.
Ok, I don't see why though, unless it's significantly more spiritual than the others
But I would assume that, for an entire moon, that a species would start some sort of theistic religion.
If this was a reply/argument to what I said, it's not relevant to whether Buddhism is atheistic or not
Look at our past. The Egyptians looked at the sky and made gods out of all it's parts. If a species was in orbit around a big blue morphing orb that could block out the sun and change position, some sort of theism is almost certain to emerge in their society.
Same as before
