Update Problem

I have vista and licensed version of US but when I when it tells me about update so i click update now but an error message comes up saying: Access to the path '1.0.424.0\d3dx9_31.dll' is denied. Please reply soon

I think this is because you need to run Universe Sandbox as an administrator in order to update. (administrative privileges)

Right click on the icon you use to launch Universe Sandbox and select "Run as administrator" (or something similar).

Please let me know if that fixes the problem or if you need more help.
