Is supergalaxies possible?
« on: August 15, 2009, 05:04:19 AM »
Supergalaxies are evolved in universe a trillion years in the future. That time it would be 100 times larger than our Milky way. and would be having a distance of 1 Mly-25 Mly.

it could be possible if galactic cannabalism became more frequent but for some galaxies , eventually all the gas for forming stars will run out and you'll be left with nothing more than a dark, dead core of a galaxy.

If the dark energy doesn't rip apart the universe... Which it might do.
Anyways, the galaxy clusters might end up forming supergalaxies, especially the large clusters.

Exactly how large these supergalaxies will be is, ofc, only a question about how big the galaxy cluster is.
If a galaxy cluster is 100 times larger than our Milkyway, then it's possible, if the dark energy doesn't accelerate too fast and the galaxies lose each other's gravity grasp.

See 11th millennium and beyond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11th_millennium_and_beyond). at Predicted events after year 1,000,000.
