Moving away from GoDaddy

I just moved all my personal and business domain registration away from GoDaddy (who supports SOPA, despite what they may now claim) last night. I should have stopped supporting a company who's CEO degrades women, kills elephants, and supports torture a long time ago.

It's kinda a violation of the constitution but if the fools in the white house do something like this then I guess we can see it get shot to the Supreme Court and then the Supreme Court will shoot down the bill calling it unconstitutional. Least that is what I think would happen. Which makes me wonder, how do these people make up these laws!? Have they never heard of the Constitution of the United States of America?

Just saying...you have to be careful about what lines are drawn to cut off a company with innocent employees due to the beliefs of an owner or CEO.

P.S. I do agree about the elephants but only due to their low numbers.

Wikileaks didn't enter into my decision. That they were against SOPA and had one of the more attractive and easier to use websites is what swayed me.

No, I set up my website myself. I could probably figure it out, they probably would be like "No," because they don't know how it works and they don't want me messing stuff up and spending more money.

Another reason why GoDaddy is terrible. Dyandot and Namecheap are not like that.

And the transfer cost includes another year of registration, so if you get it at a discount it's actually cheaper to switch than renew for another year at normal prices.

Cost to switch is only ~$10 per domain (or less).

I use 1&1 and have had zero problems and I can check off Ralph Dommermuth from all of the above.
