Impossible. It would be our chance to expand across the universe. As the galaxies separate we can gradually put communication devices in orbit to keep our galaxies connected and make pit stops(stars will be scattered everywhere in most likely an elliptical galaxy if dark matter holds us together).

Not really, there has to be the right elements. If there is too much carbon it will turn just like Venus.
