rip, sorry you feel that way. you're right in that not everyone is obligated to care. though i would like say that it's had a pretty big effect on a lot of people, me included. so personally i am following it quite closely and trying to come to terms with it while helping my friends get thru it too.

people are being ridiculous about it though. outbreaks like this happen all the time and i think this is the first one in recent years people are equating to the black plague

are people seriously forgetting about the 2009 swine flu outbreak? people didn't freak out as much about that

of course, coronavirus is 20-30x less fatal than the black plague so it's inappropriate to compare the two. but the experts say that we need to take these drastic measures or our hospitals are going to be overwhelmed, like they currently are in italy.

if someone like you catches it and has a severe reaction, with proper hospital care then you're basically guaranteed to survive. the problem is, if everyone catches it at the same time, you won't get that hospital care and you may very well die. i think the following video is pretty good at summing things up:
