That's true. But it will still be a solar system, even if there is no planets I think.
What about the asteroids and so on?
Btw funny as you mention hot Jupiters, FGFG, as they have a picture of one of their procedurally generated planets called 'Hot Jupiter', but I guess that's why you wrote it.
