Planets Colliding
« on: June 12, 2011, 06:44:06 PM »
I was playing this game and having a blast when I decided to make 2 planets crash into each other. I was dissapointed to find that all they did was merge together. I think if you watch it in slow-mo both of the planets atmospheres catch on fire and they send space dust all over the place. I also think that when an steroid hits a planet, it takes the planet out of orbit.

"I haven't touched the explosion code in a long time, and I would like to refine it." -Dan Dixon. This is also related to explosions, and it will most likely be refined along with explosions when Dan fixes them. Also, for an asteroid to knock Earth out of its current orbit for example, it would have to be about 200km in diameter, and there's only a select few asteroids that are that size.

Actually you can still change the path if its still a small asteroids, it's just that you can't even see the difference.

Maybe changing the asteroid size and mass would let you do that, nice Nyan cat btw.
