I was wondering... do random nations that never existed come up sometimes from rebellions and stuff?

And do the rebels ever win? it seems like they never do in the game...

They're actually programmed. The reason they never win is because the government has a strong army or the rebels have a weak army.

And it's stupid you can't realease your own vassals... not just ones like Britan release US, or Sweden release Finland...
