Multi-core support?
« on: October 30, 2010, 02:53:27 PM »
Just wondering if this FABULOUS piece of software will ever be able to take advantage of my 6 core 980X processor (12 cores with hyperthreading)? It would be amazing to speed up the simulation by 6x.

Yes.  That is a feature that I've experimented with and hope to release in the next few months.

Although I doubt it will be a 6x improvement with six cores. On a test with two cores the improvement was around 40% (or 1.4x).

This change will require moving from .NET 2 as the minimum requirement to .NET 4.
