what about demisemidemisexuals: people who are not semidemisexuals towards people unless they form a strong emotional connection with someone.

Yet the Religion and LGBT threads are always stable. Heck, I didn't even get a real response.

Not sure if I understand, since demisexuals themselves don't really even fit on any spectrum.

the chemical composition of our brains and bodies are a lot more complex than simple categories or a linear spectrum. people change on the scale of years but people also change on the day to day basis.

if you want to mathematically describe a biological characteristic, even a physical one like hair or eye color or mid-digital hair you are going to need several dimensions to accurately describe them

mid-digital hair? i have none
or do you mean middle finger/toe

also attraction is a highly complicated process that we in no way fully understand, and person to person depends more on certain factors than on others, so if you want to describe me as symmetricalfaceandplayfulandwithmaleattractionetcetcmalesexual, then go ahead, but it doesn't seem to be quite a useful description considering that a very tiny minority are going to be that way, so to answer your question: yes, there could be semidemisexuals, but is it a useful category of description? no, and it doesn't even assess what gender the person tends towards (if there even is a tendency for that type of attraction)

mid-digital hair can be described as "i have none" on a superficial level, but the reality behind it is multiple genes controlling how much and where. it's not necessarily a simple boolean value.

there's a lot more to sexuality or attraction or anything like that than what physically happens. there's a lot of internal chemical and genetic characteristics which define things that decide how you will be even in situations which are never going to happen and things you, much less other people, are even aware of.

labels like 'homosexual', 'pansexual', 'heterosexual', 'demisexual' etc are just descriptors for ease of communication, they aren't limiting bounds or a comprehensive definition so to directly answer your question "could there be semidemisexuals?"... i guess? if you want there to be? if it means something to someone, sure. otherwise the distinction is pointless.

I get your point, but I mean is it possible for a combination of -sexuality and demisexuality to exist?

As in, let's say there's a Person X who's semidemisexual.

Person X is attracted to Person Y immediately, but only becomes attracted to Person Z after forming an emotional bond with them.
Get what I mean?

yes, in fact, I think it is more likely than someone to simply be "demisexual".

Mfw dar does something serious

Thanks Fiah and Vince

So then I guess there's a spectrum between regular attraction and demisexuality?

Some people even say that demi is on the asexuality spectrum which makes no sense.

There is no such thing as a graysexual
