Crashing on startup after setting changes

Hi, I recently bought Universe Sandbox 2. I played it for about an hour and I thought I'd change the settings. After changing the resolution settings to the highest the game crashed... Obviously, as I haven't got the best computer. So I tried starting it up back up in hopes of lowering the resolution, but I can't get past the opening screen, without it crashing. I can't turn the setting down.
I tried uninstalling the game and deleting all the files i can find relating to universe sandbox 2 and reinstalling the game but no luck.
I'm running on the latest version of OS X.

Also, where are the setting files for the game located? I've looked all over and can't find them. Is there anyway to just restart and start form the beginning. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the game through steam, but it still opens in the resolution that crashes the client. I've also used the launch option with no luck.

Okay, so I fixed this by simply disabling the steam overlay in the settings.
