That was how the old zone point system was. I multiplied everything by 5 to get rid of all those decimals. Also, extractors cost four ressources. I didn't want something to cost 0,8 ressources. And trades are only divided by 5 now, not 25.

I haven't, in fact I could've done much worse by boxing in all your current land zones.

I just want to colonize and make sure nobody boxes me in before I develop the land I've secured.

I could also have built a sea base south of the sea base I built, and taken the land zone. By doing that, I could in fact stop all your expansion if I wanted. Now, thank me for not being that evil.

Tilbringe is only used about time (like in 'x spends time reading'). We would use the word 'bruge' in this case.
