Nova/Supernova remnants self destruct/evaporate
« on: October 16, 2014, 04:22:19 PM »
On the Solar System simulation, I turn the sun into a supernova. I pause the game, and make it a supernova. However, I noticed that the nova remnant self-destructs/deletes itself instantly. This really annoys me.

You might have the timestep too high, also xriqxa's suggestion is a good idea

Supernovas are still an early work in progress and they don't yet leave proper remnants.

We've been working on getting them to more accurately decimate nearby bodies... factoring in both the extreme luminosity and the ejected material from the explosion.

And yeah... try setting the time step to something around 1 simulated second per read second... which is real time. Then speed up the time step from there.
