simulation or not
« on: August 29, 2014, 08:38:56 PM »
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simulated_reality#Simulation_argument

basically, an argument is that a civilization like a human is likely to simulate (many) universes containing entities also capable of simulating more universes. this branches forever, and thus there are a huge number of simulated universe and only a single 'real' universe. therefore, we can be almost sure that we are in a simulation.

all that is good, but to what degree do people accept the argument?

edit: oh and please explain if you want

maybe you should try reading wikipedia once in a while, it might open your mind to other things than trolling on 4chan and (apparently) universe sandbox forums
