preliminary universalis world languages map (may get some isolates scattered around later)

Pink - Amalthean languages
Purple - DegÃ«q'so languages
Red - Saguan languages
Orange - unknown or FrdÅ¡ka/Jāramūi languages
Green - Himalian languages

Note on FrdÅ¡ka/Jāramūi: I have Jāramūi in the wordgen thread, it might be a descendant of Himalian or I might make it its own language. If it will be a descendent of Himalian, FrdÅ¡ka languages will be the ones in that area, or Himalian/DegÃ«q'so languages will increase in area into those regions.

The causes of similar word order are usually due to areal interaction and being in the same language subfamily (i.e. Germanic or Indo-Aryan). Also that map is so old because I did it at school where I don't exactly have access to .pdns

I think the Saguan-inhabited areas in Blaland should be striped with Saguan and Blaxian to signify that both languages are used in the areas, or something like that, maybe checkered pixel-wise or whatever

I'd like to see it, but I'd like something that's simple and efficient to write, with one letter meaning one sound and working like an alphabet with left to right writing.
