No, it's not a glitch.
They did it because they didn't knoe the past clouds. Or / And maybe it might cause lag.

OK I got storm simulations running. If anybody is having problems just say something. This is Hurricane Katrina. Did anyone else get the simulations running?

It depends if you want just pictures, or actual simulations. :-\ But I can do both! ;D

Go to SVS icon. It's orange and purple. Click on it. Select something and download it. As soon as it is done press play and try to find it playing somewhere on the globe.

Using World Winds I discovered a strange landmark in the middle of the Sahara. When I went back to take a smaller picture it was gone. So I was forced to edit the two I had so here they are. One is blue to help bring out the dimensions, because the original color wasn't very clear.

If the uploader is full. I will try to upload it another day, but I won't be on for a while.

Hopefully the blue will help you see the depth, wich makes it even more of a wonder.

Somewhere in the Sahara. I tried to find it again but I couldn't after like 30 minutes.

Just tell me what you think it is. It doesn't look like a crater, since it's not to deep. It's to big to be a salt mine(there are many of these in Africa). I noticed a small hill at the center. But realize this picture was taken from almost 100km up.

It probably started out as dunes, and then wind eroded down into the bedrock, then, just make it deeper.

Can you provide coordinates? We could find it on Google Earth too (if it is high resolution).

Why not a crater? Maybe not a great asteroid, but the shape is so circular.
Maybe could it be an ancient lake, or a volcano?

Sorry the screenshot cut out the coordinates and most likely it will be easier to find on world winds(better with landmasses)
