Click the little hand tool (move)

Select the body to be moved

Click the little icon bellow the selection, the one on the right

Rotate using the white wheel

I don't think Ubox has a trace for rotation at this time.

You could ask Dan about it for Ubox3 though.

when you rotate, the axis of rotation passes through the center of the object you're rotating, so it will not show a trail and a trace for rotation makes little sense as it would show nothing

*trails generate from the center of obejct i think

Oh, you can't. :(

You only rotate bodies. Neither trails nor dust can be rotated.

What do you want to do, draw? :P

I'd be curious to learn more about what you mean by "display a trace that shows the rotation of the planet."

How do you imagine this would work?

Can you point to any images anywhere that show this?

You can add a landing point on a body and that will trace out that position on the body. Just zoom in on a body and keep zooming in... this will add a point that will draw a trail.

Is that what you mean?

And more i have see here : http://universesandbox.com/, in this video, at 0:18 second, trace of rotation.

Those are the traces of Uranus's moons as they orbit the planet, not a trace of rotation. Open up the solar system simulation with moons on (or one that is just uranus and moons), go to uranus, turn trace on and you'll see what I mean.

Uranus rotates on it's side and so, the moons orbits are vertical with the planets equator.

Maybe he is referring to a Rotate Frame function, like the one that existed in US1:

(Plz Dan, make this function available again in the Universe Sandbox 3  :D )
