I use iron picks for stone myself. But you should use them in the strip mine layers so you also get other good things while mining it. If you just need stone, just take some stacks from the public storage, there are loads of them. Assuming it's cobblestone. There are also some stone stacks in the building blocks area near the stairs.

Hey guys, while I have known of the abandoned mines under the western frontier territiories for some time, I only explored some of the one thats further inland before today. I am spelunking the one that is below the station for the area and it's looking like an epic one, or at least huge. It also seems strangely compact or something. I already found one chest with 4 diamonds.

The one I'm in is a separate one than the one inland and I have an entrance established already. As you go up the stairs from the station, there is a side passage leading down which leads to the abandoned mines.

Current location (as in right now) is -1441,25, 1679, under the beach biome.

Whether the two abandoned mines connect or not, I have no idea, but both of them have one feature in common, there is A LOT of water running through them. Way more than any other abandoned mine that I've seen.

I think a lot of the tunnels pass under large bodies of water and seas.
There's quite a few near me and I've found holes on the sea bed leading to them.

Are you isolating your region or something? Also, water would be better than lava, less chance for accidential immolation.

Kol, it's funny how it blagically turns into a superhighway when it doubles its width, while if it doubles its width from one to two blocks it doesn't get reclassified.

Point taken.

Anyways, Bla, could we have an updated worldmap and isometric (or just worldmap) please? :)

Anybody having this glitch where a whole row of sugarcane (or any other crop?) seems to have uprooted itself while you were elsewhere or logged out?

It keeps hitting this particular row, although it did happen to one other row. I did remove and replace the dirt just in case the dirt had bugged out for some reason.

Only Mudkipz and me have sugarcane farms of significant size, so I dunno....

Has anybody seen this glitch (you'll have to go to the post for the image)? I'm just asking.

so liek me and smjjames maded a the lighting circuit for a lighthouse. The light rotates and it automatically turns itself on at night and off in the morning.

First pic is light sensor
Second is the rotation light circuit
Third is the pulsar/clock/ which also combines the light sensor to switch on/off the light

it took a loong time :P, but was fun.

and we used silky since there was no way i was going to wait for grass to grow up 50 blocks or so :P

It was more like 10 grass blocks, not 50.

Also, did you have that glitch before or after the CHdistantfarm plugin was installed? I just want to see if its a MC glitch or a glitch with the plugin. Either way though, its only a minor annoyance.
