The map blockyness is due to biomes (snow), not because the landscape is unsmooth. The only area I didn't smooth was the steep cliffs going into the deep ocean just west of Geogaport.

Idk how to edit biomes, but if anyone finds a tool, they're welcome to tell me.

Maybe I should make a poll to determine whether using MCEdit to smooth the borders is considered legit.
It's pretty boring and the chunkyborders don't seem very legit when they are caused by seed corruption and updates and don't seem to be meant to be the way the terrain should be generated anyway.

the promenade thing at my place.

big building is the hotel where people will be able to sleep/eat, and the buildings under the road are warehouses.

Yes yes yes

Well, its not just your chunkyborder that would need to be fixed. To be fair, he should at least try to fix up as many as he can. I voted yes since the new continent to the southeast of Kaeshar could use some fixing up, what with the sharp corner (I did at least remedy part of the cliff) and I'm sure you've seen that wierd chunky piece of ocean turned taiga.

However, like Bla said, your border chunkyness is just due to the biomes, part of it is anyway.
Let's hope they take the north because I want to colonize the south.

EVERYONE COLONIZE THE SOUTH

I heard the north is way better then the south, god, I wish Revolutea was in the sou-n-n-no-orth. So guys... Um... Colonize the north because it is wayy better then the nort-south. Okay? Good ;).

The map blockyness is due to biomes (snow), not because the landscape is unsmooth. The only area I didn't smooth was the steep cliffs going into the deep ocean just west of Geogaport.

Idk how to edit biomes, but if anyone finds a tool, they're welcome to tell me.

I want smooth landscape >:(

Huh what at the first part of that quote?....

Maybe smooth the oceans out as well? Honestly, the smoothed out areas in older regions look better..... Although I don't know if the wierd non-smooth ocean is from an algorithm change or something....

I did a google search and came up with a few things:

Minecraft How to fix SMP seed / biome change! (no idea how useful this would be)

http://www.curse.com/server-mods/minecraft/bioman (Don't we use curse or something?)

This one is a Bukkit plugin search:

http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/edit-biomed-v0-4-change-those-biomes-1-2-4-r1-0.54163/ (However, from the dev page, it might be kind of buggy, at least for picking a global biome, so, I dunno.... Also, it might not be updated for 1.2.5)

Edit: This plugin looks interesting. http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/edit-fun-lwgen-v0-1-0-local-weather-generator-change-biomes-easy-1-2-4-r0-1.68033/

Doesn't MCEdit allow biome changing?

No idea, although during my earlier search, people did say that no you can't, however in doing a quick search, there seems to be ways that you can do it, so I really don't know.

The ocean bed is smooth. It is just filled with pits of sand and clay, which is what makes it look unsmooth, and it's meant to be that way.

Oh, didn't realize that. I swear that when I'm in the open ocean and have brightness on max, the ocean floor looks really hilly. I'm also referring to the way it looks on the world map.

Still, I'd like that weird area of ocean turned taiga (including the land area that's snowed in) changed back to normal.

Still, it seems to be largely the chunky biomes that fiah is complaining about, and that blocky section of the continent to the southeast of kaeshar could be rounded out and/or at least given some kind of beach.

I'm going to attempt to start the glass tunnel project, Kipz gave me a few tips yesterday and I practiced a little in SP. Just letting you know Bla.

I might need help with the sides and where the front wall ends.

Edit: Trying a caisson-like method.....

Ok. Is it okay if part of my wheat farm goes into your area? It will be high above the ground, and I will light up the ground so no mobs can spawn.

Edit: Also Bla, he wants his land to be named "NinjaWorld".

I'd guess he picked the area circled in yellow? And 'Ninjaworld' is fine by me.

Anyways, rail tunnel is complete, when can we set up the rails?

I assume you don't want to provide all of the materials yourself (if you want, just go ahead and build it). If you want rails from the collective storages we need to calculate how many rails and boosters will be needed and set up a poll in Spawntown Voting Center.

I have maybe 30 gold (estimated, I forget the exact amount), so I won't have enough to supply the whole thing. However, I will calculate the amount needed.

Also, it'll vary by 32 or 34 rail pieces depending on whether I make the rails go into the ravine observation deck or not. For now, I'll measure from the end point of the station. I'll also include the wall coords of the corners to factor those in.

Edit: Its 109 (technically 108.5 and 108.7, going by what I calculated) gold and 773 or 774 (or 775? again, due to rounding issues) iron. If I include the iron in the warehouse, collective storage, and scattered elsewhere, I probably have enough iron, but I've got 20 gold. Although if I grab some out of public storage and/or supplement with the track pieces in public storage.....

Edit: Nm, on the boosters in storage as theres only one, but I'll use the gold from public storage. Should have enough that way. I'll also borrow a stack of track pieces, just in case.

I've noticed a slight bug with the furnaces. Sometimes even if I use a stack in a multiple of 8, the furnace will act like its timing is off and burn another piece of coal after it smelts the last item. It can happen even with a full stack. I think it may have something to do with taking some of the output while its still smelting.

Okay.

Since I need four more boosters, I'm thinking that I may have done the corners wrong. I did it like this in the pic since I wasn't sure how the corners are suppoused to be set up.
