About the cropping: I ventued outside the generated map borders some time ago, and there did not appear to be any borders. That is one of the reasons I didn't crop it last weekend.

I'd like to go outside the borders again, maybe along them to see if any differencies appear. If they don't, a new sea will simply be generated south of Revolutea again, and you get a new bunch of mushroom islands and the other islands you built on for a couple of days.
If that's the case, it would be stupid to delete it all.

And Naru, Darvince (and any other who developed Partinia Lanis), what do you think about the road through Partinia Lanis?

No. You have no way to know what terrain will be generated in the old land you crop. It could be a mountain biome, giving huge cliffs instead. It could be ocean again.

And most likely it will be ocean again. I ventured outside the current borders to see if there was any new chunky border between 1.0 and 1.1 - there wasn't in the area I looked.

All the cropping does is deleting chunks. It doesn't affect terrain generation at all.
