i never said you couldn't.
i just think it's strange to build a skyscraper for the sole-purpose of making more area.
I did that with my cone and it's a huge 5,000 block ugly poop at the moment.
So i'm just offering advice that you should think of a purpose for your buildings

I like your idea for the bridge to Solea, but Atomic should approve it.
As for the bridge to Awesomeland/Edgeland... This would make much more sense [cyan]. But as you know, we already have [.red]. So I simply don't think it's worth building a second road with almost the same function.

For the big projects you're blanning on, feel free to put up a poll in the voting center asking for resources to the project from our collective storages.

There's no reason to gather all the resources alone if the rest of us have idle resources sitting depressed and lonely in our storages.

also, just to make enough axes to chop the amount of wood i need for this giant tree city would take 2 stacks of wood. Hopefully, the best case scenario is that i stop after chopping a couple thousand logs, give up, and then i won't ever need to chop wood again

To harvest 8000 wood:

243 gold axes: 729 gold ingots, 486 sticks (61 wood). 33 minutes.
134 wood axes: 402 planks, 268 sticks (134 wood). 200 minutes.
61 stone axes: 183 cobblestone, 122 sticks (16 wood). 100 minutes.
32 iron axes: 96 iron ingots, 64 sticks (8 wood). 67 minutes.
6 diamond axes: 18 diamonds, 12 sticks (2 wood). 53 minutes.

ok 16 wood, my calculatons are off. I need 8700 wood though.

Also, 200 minutes might be inaccurate.

Mining a tree:
3 seconds to walk to a tree
every 40 trees, it takes 2 seconds to place a crafting table, 5 seconds to craft 4 axes, 2 seconds to dig it up. That's about 10 seconds/40 trees=1/4th second for 1 tree.
1 second to locate and cut wood 2 blocks up
1 second to switch tools and break leaf block
1 second to locate and cut wood block above that
3/4 second to jump up and face up
1.5 seconds to cut 2 logs up
1 second to locate and cut log on bottom
=9.5 seconds for a tree, (round to 10)

1 wood takes 2 seconds

8700 wood takes 290 minutes which is about 5 hours

and this is assuming i find a huge dense 300 meter x 300 meter forest with minimal hills

The tree farm at Pine Hill is very good imo. If you harvest it all, the first trees have already begun to regrow, usually, although it's best to take a break (in that break, you could harvest the other tree farms or shear the sheep for wool). You will have to replant the saplings though. But there's a public storage nearby, so you won't need to go back and forth for tools, materials and for dumping the wood. Plus there's a rail station at it.

I've stored about 400 oak wood in the collective storage. There should also be 320 oak wood in the public storage as well. Our wood levels have risen after that tree farm was built.

And no need to be impatient about the tree. Just because you can't gather 8000 wood in a day or a week, it doesn't mean we can't get it in a month or a year by wooding casually.

It is all tree tree farms. The biggest one is oat trees. I mean oak.

No, no bigtreepreventing. They spawn very rarely though, so I probably wouldn't bother.
