Yeah you can run the preview release version from steam. I was curious as to what was in it.

16.2x is a preview build for Alpha 16.2 which you can test out in the Betas tab on Steam.

We'll be releasing 16.2 soon. We essentially made this preview available for users to test out if they had issues with startup or missing craters.

If you haven't had issues in 16 or 16.1 then you won't see too much that has changed on the surface, except for the new rendering for random planets.
