Not Loading On Mac?

Whenever i launch Universe Sandbox 2, the game never loads. I am launching the game from steam. The game starts up, and goes through the whol loading process but then stops and says "Creating Solar System". I have left the game running for a hour and it still has not loaded. I am running on Mac OSX Yosemite. My laptop specs are:

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB
