how do i update universe sandbox to universe sandbox 2!!

they're different versions. you can download universe sandbox 2 here and buy a key for $20:

in addition, if you buy universe sandbox 2, i think you get version 3 free too.

I want the version 2 free. that would be a waste of money if i have to buy US 2 times

Unfortunately you have to buy universe sandbox 2, because if it was given out free to everyone who purchased version 1, Dan would not have enough money to continue to develop the program. However, universe sandbox 2, when it's on sale on steam, is only $4.99. In addition, you get universe sandbox 3 free when it comes out, so you don't need to buy it a third time.
