Steam vs website version
« on: April 30, 2011, 02:34:48 PM »
I saw Universe Sandbox on Steam last night and found this website when clicking the forums link, and tried the demo.  I've read that despite the price difference, the Steam version is the same as available here.  If I purchase it on Steam, will I be able to find my key and use it to install the non-Steam version?

Yes... they are mostly identical.

And Steam has achievements.

If you purchase on Steam it will not activate the non-Steam version. And you have to have Steam running to use the Steam version.

Does that help?

Hey Dan, that reminds me...

Do you plan to add more steam achievements? I think it has great potential for some really funny ones! :)

Like I dunno... Forcibly crash the game from so much stuff going on? :D

Great game/program.

Flynn.

I plan to add more achievements in the future, but don't have a timeline for that currently.

Right now my focus this weekend is fixing crash and startup issues for the release a new version on Monday.

But yes.. more achievements for sure.

How do I find the code in my Steam version to use the web version? And what are the differences in versions?

The versions are basically the same.

And you can only run the version you purchased. If this is an issue, or you need help with this, please send me an email.
