Go ahead and build it, but I don't want the dirt.

Okay then.

Edit: Question regarding a massive surplus of sand that I have, should we make a section in public storage to make it available for all? I have one large chest full and then some.

I'm already thinking of making a warehouse next to the quarry/mine, although I haven't decided on the size.

Welcome back. ;D

And you hereby have Molten back...

Also, that's not a very nice way of saying "welcome back", FiahDarvince. You need to practice writing more so you don't make so many typos.

Hey guys, theres a new update available and its 1.2.2

Can't login to the server atm.

Bla, are you planning on cropping the map soon? You did say you'd wait until 1.2.2 was out.

If you updated to 1.2, you can't log on because the server is outdated. Bukkit hasn't updated to version 1.2 yet, so it will probably take some days (or even weeks) before the server can be updated.

I will crop the map when the Bukkit 1.2 version is ready, probably.

You might be able to deupdate by replacing the minecraft.jar with this, in the .minecraft folder in the hidden AppData folder, if you know where it is (otherwise, Google can probably help finding it).
You could also search Google for Minecraft 1.1 or something like that.

And you should probably backup the .minecraft folder before trying this, although it shouldn't be that dangerous.

Okay, I'll check it out later and i've already found that folder as its where the screenshots are.

Anyways, how about my question about the surplus of sand? I've thought of making a glass roof for the quarry/mine, however the size is 33x36 tiles and I've calculated that it will take at least 18 full stacks of sand to make, which itself isn't a problem, but it is alot of coal. There's also the fact that the glass blocks break when you try to recollect them, not sure if silk touch will help.

Silk touch will help. Coal isn't the big problem with sand, at least you usually have a bigger surplus in coal than sand, if you just mine the coal you find.

You could make the glass roof, but if you don't know what to do with it, you could also just dump it in Spawntown. There's a chest for sand and sandstone on the building blocks floor, and having a big surplus is always nice. Spawntown uses a lot of sand for its buildings.

Yea,  I'm just not sure about leaving it roofless aesthetics wise.

Also not sure if you want to remove the sand from the area I wanted cleared or if I can do it myself. I already made a channel for roughly where the new shore would be.

Whats the latest update that the server uses? 1.1 full? Just checking so that I know which one to update or change to for sure.

Tried the first one and it stayed stuck on a blank screen after login the second one might not be compatible with 1.2 since it is complaining that the files in .minecraft/bin are not for the current version or are not vanilla (and yes I've backed up the .minecraft folder).

Going to try the first one again and this time delete the version file, maybe that'll help.

Where do you mean? I tried looking in the .minecraft and I'm only finding metal related sounds and nothing in the mcnostalgia thing. Even tried 'inf'

From the most recent one or the one that Bla linked to? Tried using the one Bla linked to and didn't work, will try the current one from the backup. I'm using 7-zip, which does the same function I want anyway.

Edit: Did that with the current one, but the version still says 1.2.2

no idea, but i know mods can't into meta-inf
also, if you can't get mc nostalgia working, there really is no harm in downloading the .jar from somewhere else imo. It's technically illegal, but you've already bought the game and you can get it from somewhere else legally so i don't see any problem.

I'll see about downloading the 1.1 .jar elsewhere.

Edit: Allright, fixed. :)

I think mcnostalgia just isn't compatible with 1.2.2 at this time, somehow.

Edit: Is anybody getting wierd lagspikes when looking at furnaces while they're running? I stacked two furnaces on top of two others, don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Edit2: It also happens underground, when I'm looking up or looking around, no idea whats causing it but this lag is wierd.

Edit3: Geez, whats going on here?, some places that I look at are lag free and others I get major lagspikes....

try logging out and logging back in to computer. Closes those random programs that hog up RAM. I do it randomly and it gets rid of lagspikes.

I tried changing the render distance to short and it stops them, but I'll do a relog, hadn't considered that method.

Edit: tried a reboot and it only helped briefly and the lagspikes were back, setting the render distance to short eliminated the semi-random spikes.

Edit2: Gonna update the vid card driver to see if that helps any.

Edit3: Maybe it helps slightly, but still getting lag spikes for no apparent reason.

Edit4: Can someone see whether they are also getting the lag spikes? I tried going to a different area, even taking the rails halfway to spawntown and I'm still getting the lag spikes. Its not quite as bad, but that could just be because I'm underground. This is the first time I've consistently gotten lag like this, so somethings up. Whether its just me or not I don't know.

If you guys don't mind, heres my thought about cropping and what I'd like to claim as the borders of my territory.

For the first one, we can trim most of that vast frozen land to the east and some of what I explored some time ago. The dotted line just means that I didn't want to define the line any further. Fiah has already said he wants to crop that area of the southern ocean there, so I added it in.

For the second one, the blue-green line is what I'd like to have in the borders (they can be squigglified better later on) and if thats too much for Bla to give all at once, the light green line is the alternate border for a smaller area. For the bit that slices into Solea, I wanted to put it approx halfway through the bay that will be there after that penninsula is dug out.

Smjjames, yes, you can approximately have all of that. What do you want the region to be called?
