I made a house for my new settlement that I am working on right now. I was wondering if anyone can teach how to make awesome buildings in Minecraft, I haven't played it for so long.

you could try:
Extending the roofs one block past the wall, and put inverted stairs in-between and underneath the normal stairs. On every corner, replace the blocks that make the corner with tree trunks. Make a border out of stone.

The hardened clay blocks have been referred to as adobe, and does resemble it (though it's a bit darker in color).

Basically it's a different type of clay brick block. Really though, I've wished that MC had adobe colored blocks, and these are pretty close to it.

Atomic had an industrial craft server for a while.
I'm not a fan of IC craft though because it's too much stuff to remember and I always get left behind in the stone age.

IndustrialCraft is so old.

I've been thinking about turning Blacraft into a temporary FTB server during an update. Sounds like a possible disaster though.

Can't be much worse than the creative mode temporary world though.
