Will Universe Sandbox 2 feature mod support, or something of the sort?

As I stated in my Idea thread, It would be one of the most important update they could come with.

That's for this simple reason why other games like , Minecraft, Kerbal Space program, Garry's mod etc are very popular.

It allow a stronger community.

I would see more like  User's custom mods.

not just content like planets and stars

More like new possibilities.  If you really wanted to have life and spaceships,  then it could be a Mod instead to be an official release.

Same could be with contiental drift etc.

basically, It allow everyone to put their own taste and ideas in the game and leave the developers working on their priorities.

Maybe there could be a mod for planets ripping apart. I'd love to see that happen

I think simple content like custom bump/color map for planet would be cool, imagine an Earth with a 32K texture map  :-*

that would be nice,  but Imagine a lot of content like Minecraft of Kerbal Space program or Gmod.

A lot of new content  like life evolving or what ever  which would be made from the community  ( maybe even taken on the Steam Workshop )

I think it would be important for them to make the game as much moddable as they can since it will bright a new community and make it even more popular.

But think about it pac0master has the right idea of mod support! They might even act like valve with taking the people who made the amazing mods into the dev team to make it better!

I was simply giving the idea so they can focus on more important features while the community works on their own custom content which could be added in a future update.

It remind me of Minecraft after a guy created the Piston,  Mogang added it ingame a bit later.
