Graphical Bug With Small Objects
« on: August 11, 2014, 11:18:07 PM »
Hello there guys, I am here to report a graphical bug with Small Objects, like the Bowling Ball and the Baseball. I know they are not well implemented yet, especially with collisions, but one more bug report about them won't hurt anyone. I am sorry if this bug was already reported, but there is no Bug Tracker for US2, which I think would be a cool way to improve alpha/beta testing(if there is one, please send me the link).

Steps:
1. Create or Open a Simulation with Earth.
2. Slow Time Step or Pause.
3. Add any Small Object(ex: Bowling Ball).
3.5. From here the glitch might have already started.
4. Zoom into the Small Object.
4.5. Earth's surface starts to get weird.

Output Log: http://www.mediafire.com/view/mbs0zzy1htzm2sm/output_log.txt

The output log was attached to the post as well(the mediafire link is here to ensure the developers can get it).

After seen the video, may I ask you(the community) 2 questions about the video?
1. Is the background music OK?
2. Is the layout(Text Font, the Arrows pointing at the Glitch, Text Size) OK?

Any problems with the output_log download and/or the video, please send me a PM.

PS: Even though the video was made in Alpha 8.2, the glitch still happens in Alpha 8.3.

EXTRA INFO:
Video Card: Geforce GTX 560 Ti
Graphic Settings: High
Processor: Intel Core i5-3450

That looks like z-fighting. Thanks for the video, that makes the issue pretty clear. I think the format and music are fine.

However, it would be appreciated if you set bug reporting videos to private links. Otherwise if people search for US² videos, they'll see a bunch of old bug reports instead of gameplay videos...

No problem. I have just set the video privacy properties to "unlisted", so only people with the link can open it.
Thanks for seeing the video and replying. Any other problem just tell me.
