Does anyone managed to make a quadruple star? I'm tryng to make a binary star composed by two binary stars, but the software gives me an error...Why?
-
You got me worried.
I need to do a Five Star.
Yellow and Yellow-White, close coupled,
Orange around them.
Two micro White Dwarfs at 90 degrees and 120 degrees, around the lot.
According to your Post - it will not allow this - DAMN !!

Karakirs, you situation seems be different from mine.
I would like to create a binary orbit with the baricenters of two double stars.
You want to create a double star, and then 3 suns rolling around it...And it's possible (I've just made a solar system like yours).

I made a quick Quintuple system for fun.
And yes its possible to do a quadruple system.

Can you explain me how you did it, please?
-
1. Create two pairs of stars
2. Select one of the pairs via Box Select
3. Click "Make Binary Orbit" and "Add Barycenter" of the pair
4. Do it again for the other pair
5. Select the two barycenter by using the Box Select again
6. Click "Make Binary Orbit"

Also reduce total momentum to zero so it doesn't go into space.
