Soda is an evil plot by capitalists to earn money from ruining the health of people and society.

I sometimes drink soda socially, and from what I've tried I'd rank Pepsi above Coca Cola. Haven't tried Sprite for many years and the other ones I've never tried. Usually, soda makes my stomach hurt, probably because I'm not used to it. I like milk. Fizzy milk anyone??

eww fizz

My stomach doesn't hate soda but my tongue does and so I never drink it. I only ever regularly drink milk or water, and juice if my family feeds it to me. The only thing I can ever taste about soda is how it burns my tongue, so if I'm socially expected to drink it then I have to sort of pour it directly into my throat which isn't the most satisfying experience in the world. I just always avoid it.

I agree a bit with Darvince. Also drink milk, water and juice mostly, and soda annoys my tongue, but not so much I don't enjoy it if I drink it slowly.

"People who consume sugary drinks regularly—1 to 2 cans a day or more—have a 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than people who rarely have such drinks."
http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/healthy-drinks/soft-drinks-and-disease/

"A new study published in the British Medical Journal finds that people in the habit of drinking one sugar-sweetened beverage — such as a soda or sweetened tea — every day had an 18 percent increased risk of developing the disease over a decade. That's compared with people who steer clear of sugary beverages."

"Avoid sugary drinks like regular soda, fruit punch, fruit drinks, energy drinks, sweet tea, and other sugary drinks. These will raise blood glucose and can provide several hundred calories in just one serving! See for yourself:"

the cause of type 2 diabetes is obesity (we don't know more than that)

the effect of type 2 diabetes is uncontrollable blood glucose levels

Sugar is also a cause, high amounts of sugar can lead to insulin resistance.
Quote
A diet high in rapidly absorbed carbohydrates and low in cereal fiber is associated with an increased risk of type 2 diabetes.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15277155/
Sugar not only does that, but is also related to obesity though, as a high sugar intake increases the risk of obesity.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2963518/
Soda also increase the risk of teeth corrosion, both from the acid in them and the acid from bacteria that consume the sugar deposited on your teeth (if you drink the ones with sugar). All these are harmful effects, and in addition soda have pretty much zero nutritional value. From a health perspective there's zero reason for these drinks to even exist and considering the increasing problems with obesity in societies (rather than the smaller number of people affected with diabetes) I'd say we'd be better off without them and all the capitalist propaganda promoting consumption of it and the destruction of people's health in public.

with current tech Bla, yeah soda is a bunch of BS. sweet, sweet BS. but once humanity gets more advanced (like mine) you don't have to worry as such effects can be reversed by genetic recoding or cybernetics.
