I had to observe the night sky & record observations for my Science class, so I decided to take some photos of things I observed. I only have two pictures of the moon & Jupiter, but I'm going to take more tonight & tomorrow.
This is more or less my picture thread, so I might be active in this thread or not.
But enjoy these photos! ;)
(Btw, the photo of Jupiter is its ACTUAL disc, and the little dots on both sides are its moons. They're just a little blurry.)

And sorry for the bad picture quality.
-
^uhh the first picture looks like it's bursting with pee..
btw, there are some lense filters if you don't already know that, specific for like the moon or the sun.
i've really wanted to get a telescope with the usual's astromomer's case of lenses and filters, but combined they cost liek 400 bucks maybe 500 with a good camera..

I would love to get filters for the moon. That would be great
And btw, the telescope I have had an initial value of over $800, but my father bought it for $250.
And the first picture of the moon is yellow because it was near the horizon. The moon's rays interact with more atmosphere when it's near the horizon, causing it to become more golden. It's pretty cool.

So is it a built in camera? I've really wanted one of those types of telescope.

No. I don't think a camera built on a telescope would take photos with that bad visual quality.
I just used my camcorder as an eye an took the photos through the eyepiece.

oh that's why it's so blurry and unfocused XD.

Lol.

I saw Saturn two mornings ago, and it was awesome. I could see its rings and everything.
I don't have the photos right now, but I'll post them once I can find my camcorder. :D

Here it is, the disc of Saturn.
Not much, but it's still cool. ;D
-
lol i could make that in photoshop

Well, good for you. ;D

Try taking pictures with flash? If you can change it, try to make your exposure time lower? Also try taking many pictures... One or two of them out of ten might come out not as a Saturn-streak.
That way, you have more of a chance of getting something like this: http://universesandbox.com/forum/index.php/topic,1593.msg16306.html#msg16306 (http://universesandbox.com/forum/index.php/topic,1593.msg16306.html#msg16306) hopefully less bright so you can see the details of the disk.

Thanks. Ill see what I can do better.

how will flash work better
it's like... nearly an hour for light from earth to get there so it's completely pointless
wait i'm stupid it makes the photo darker
