that consist only from real stars, no dust, no rings, no particles. Just several hundred stars.
The center of the system is a black hole with 6531 mass of the sun.
The stars are from 0,35 till 210 times the mass of sun.
I worked on it since almost 2 month and added evry day like 20 stars.
Some of the stars have planets.
The stars mostly interact with the black hole but sometimes get affected from each other and change slightly their orbit.
Sometimes you have have a star collission.
I made a video (i just upload it on youtube).
It start from a planet, that orbit one star with 120 mass of the sun and that is located near the galactic center. I then leave that view and watch from outside and in the middle of the video (at 1:18) , you even see a star collission in the system. It looks like a super nova.
Its by far the best system i ever created. I will show you the video later.

here is the link
youtube deleted my cool music on it.

Very very very nice video!! You can say "thousends" of stars ;)
-
the quality on youtube is low so not all stars are vissible, but here a screenshot
(http://)
-
that was awesome! problem was i couldnt actually see the galactic centre :-\ but apart from that it was by far an expert system :D maybe you should ask dan to put it in the update ;D
-
I like the explosion in the video!
I wish you'd post the xml
-
My computer wouldn't be able to handle that! ;D

My computer wouldn't be able to handle that! ;D
Actually it is handling the one I'm making. It seems that US just has problems with scaling huge objects to small objects. Is your galaxy to scale?
The galaxy becomes very stable when all of the stars are about the same size and can be compared to the parent body(in this case, the center of the galaxy). Then when you want to make solar systems just make planets relative to the star. Then other stars have a lower chance of stealing them. The more mass, the greater the bond between planet and star. So far my galaxy has been really active, but no collisions yet, even though there have been close calls(a few hundred km apart)!
Post the system! Maybe Dan will put it in the next update.

The explosion was awesome! :)
Well made. :)
-
5/5 Awesome. Video. EVER!
-
If this works, here is my new system you guys can add on the way you like:
-
I sugest setting the time step to twenty days per frame, about 100 days per second.
-
Ok comrades, here is the system file.
If Dan want, he can put it into the next update.
Info: The massive star near center with 130 mass of sun is a good candidate for collissions he also affect the orbits of the other stars in the central region in big scale.

Cool alien-ish name ;D. Zwerg
-
Thats not alienish name...that german for dwarf ;)
I´m german. Germans aren´t aliens ;)
-
Sorry, lol. :-X

I would have to disagree. Just kidding. Thanks for uploading! I shall go play with the system now!
-
I'm going to name the stars and add planets to some and upload it!
-
Ok, do that, but since i created it, name the massive star, that is close to the center Andreas (the one that has around 130 mass of sun) :D
-
Whats really cool is putting rings around the 2 closest massive stars. Then when other stars crash into them..sometimes the rings get deformed!
-
Ok, do that, but since i created it, name the massive star, that is close to the center Andreas (the one that has around 130 mass of sun) :D
I kinda meant hbmp's, but after that I'll do yours :D :)
-
I named stars in hbmp88's galaxy.
AP = Star
PAR = Radio Object
PN = A brown dwarf or ejected planet
X = Object that emits x-rays
144 AP
10 PAR
7 X
3 PN
Please, when you name it, name it "NeutronStar and hbmp88 - Galaxy" so you can remember we made it. That's what i do to yours so i can find it and know whose it is.
So, here it its:
-
So. Dan must add it to videos list.
-
It would cool if Dan could find all the systems posted and put the good ones on the website in a new section called downloads so people who don't read the forums could enjoy the systems too.
-
It is possible that you may create a galaxy interaction by putting 2 high-mass objects in the core and far to them. and some smaller orbiting low-mass objects.
-
I'm running a sim of two dwarf galaxies colliding... This one takes a WHILE! Sim: time estimation... 2 hrs. Oh yeah... um i'll give you the long one, but as it gets closer ill put another one.
1:10 PST Edit:
New estimated time: 9 hrs. It just passed aphelion about 30 minutes ago. (it stars then goes to aphelion then to perihelion for some reason.
-
NeutronStar. i want to have a next update that contains galaxy mergers.
-
WHy are you telling me this? I don't make Universe sandbox last I chacked.
