Well I got an email today from KPnetTV (some Danish communist party's media organization) posting a video of a solidarity demonstration in Copenhagen and an article, which basically says that people are protesting against inequality, poverty, corruption and the violence that the government has used against the demonstrants. The reason for it starting was the government spending money on a big football project while at the same time increasing the prices in public transport.

The article linked to this news site in English, which has videos of the demonstrations:
http://rt.com/news/mass-protests-continue-brazil-844/Calling the government leftist or rightist is pretty useless. It doesn't matter what they call themselves, it's their actions which count. They priroritized the economy so that they raised prices on public transport. That is an rightist action. Our government in Denmark is composed of parties calling themselves Socialist People's Party, Social Democrats and Radical Left. All we got was pretty much the same as before the election and monetarist economics. I am sure there are more leftist answers than the governments of both Denmark and Brazil choose.
Happy demonstrating.
