But NeutronStar, what evidence suggests that photons are not light themselves, but that they create light? What should that light be, then? Another particle-wave-thing? And what would it be like? I'm pretty sure we know many things about photons. Their wavelength sets the color/frequency, and the photon itself is light.
We know energy cannot be created or destroyed, so if the photon creates light, it must reduce it's own energy/increase it's wavelength/etc... I think.
