A good hurricane simulatoin would be... well, mabye just a simple game!

It would be so cool.

You have 2 modes: NOAA, and Hurricane.

In NOAA, you are the NOAA, you have to set out watches and warnings for the storms that realistically pop up. If you don't you get a high death rate. Time is maybe an hour per minute.

In Hurricane mode, you are the hurricane, you get to mass with the hurricane and try to make as many deaths as possible.

I have this slightest idea of who could make this... Dan, surely this is a simple game you could make?

At first it would look cartoon ish, then it would turn to 3D like those rendering images the NOAA and NASA make.

Dan, surely this is a simple game you could make?

A weather sim, with open ended controls like Universe Sandbox could be very cool, but not so simple unfortunately. And I've got more ideas for Universe Sandbox than I'll be able to implement.

Arguable a weather sim would be more complicated (regarding the simulation of the weather vs the simulation of gravity). That it might be a 2D sim instead of 3D could make it easier. You'd probably want some kind of particle based gas, liquid sim base like with some of the falling sand games.
