AUTC2-1NWS HURRICANE CENTER WIKIA/HCWTROPICAL STORM/TROPICAL CYCLONE TASHA AU022010FRI DEC 24 2010 2000 UTCA new cyclone has formed in the Australian region. The first since October, Anggrek. The cyclone has been named Tasha. It seems to be located in a favorable environment with warm water and extremely low shear. Tasha is located about 100 miles off the Queensland coast. Tasha is expected to make landfall in about 6 to 12 hours.
