Golden moon during dawn

Has anyone spotted the moon as a great golden ball this morning?

Just a few mornings back while I was walking to the bus stop, the moon was a good yellow sitting just above the horizon.  :D

yeah it's called at the horizon the moon appears to be yellow

Longer wavelengths within the visible spectrum like red can still slip through the dense particles in the horizon, while longer wavelengths like blue can slip through less dense upper portion of the sky.

Not really, it can happen anywhere. It's just all about the position of the moon in the sky.
