Imo you should only be able to vote in the community NS map polls if you want to be included on the map.

Also maybe make the polls so that you must respond with a yes or no.

Not sure if the "yes first" "yes second" thing is a good idea. How many votes does that give you?

well i let people have multiple votes about the number of planets and star colors because there are so many different options. once we narrow it down to 2 or 3 categories for each we can redo the vote with only one vote per person.

also i agree with the voting in community ns mapp polls only if you're on the map.

so fiah, if you want to have another terrestrial planet which you will be on, your votes for the map won't count.

Well, I do not even voted twice in the star color. I just chose the color of the first star and then the color of the second (because I chose binary system) :P

But is there any point in having 2 votes to begin with? If you only have 1 vote, then we can just remove all the options with 0 votes and make a new poll. Instead of giving people the ability to pick even more options.
That doesn't even make sense. If people choose the same options as last time then you might as well have not started a new poll in the first place. A first option, second option thing is good.

That doesn't even make sense. If people choose the same options as last time then you might as well have not started a new poll in the first place. A first option, second option thing is good.
The idea was that if the results nobody wanted are removed and people know what each other want already, people may be more likely to compromise and pick new options which they know other people also want, if their first vote wasn't popular and unlikely to win.

So I don't agree with the premise "If people choose the same options as last time" which you use to declare my idea completely nonsensical.
Also I was a bit too fast to write remove everything with 0 votes, you could also remove everything with 1 vote if there are options with 2 votes or more. That was what I wanted, my bad for not expressing that.

But whatever, just use the other system, it was probably better and I don't see any reason to contribute to discussions if people respond to my ideas like that anyway.

results:

resolution is 4096*2048

border thickness is 2, and 1 for internal

border color is black for national and other color for coast

star is type K

One star.

number of habitable planets is a tie.

number of planets is a tie between 6, 7, and 9.

i've set up another vote for those polls with ties.

listen. we have three options.

one: majority vote
-the most voted option becomes official, because everyone said so.
simple, but people might dislike it because they don't get eveyrthing they want.

two: consensus
-everyone agrees on stuff and everyone is happy
not likely to happen because some people insist on one thing and others on another

three: seperate.
-people who can't agree with the majority of votes split away and make their own star system
everyone is happy
doesn't help roleplay.

ok new poll up right beneath the old one, because the instant i decide to not use protected ranges, someone messes with all the votes.

oh, i forgot option 4

astronomy has been completely outlawed, and every nationstate has their own official view on the outside universe.

tada.

solved every problem.

except roleplaying in space.
