Small Scale Capitalism Simulator
« on: August 02, 2012, 05:09:18 PM »
we should do it here in this topic so like

I start BiskitTechnologies because capitalism

you can make banks too

and everyone has like 50 monies so let's say 50M.

it costs like 40M to make a business so do it

now give me all your money

maybe there should be a government to influence too

and people who just buy stuff

BiskitTechnologies

Computer - 10M
Better Computer - 13M
Hard drive - 4M
Good GPU - 6M
BT OS - .1M

I can employ you in my factories for 3M/d
or you can be a programmer for 5M/d

Suggest things to make it more realistic but still able to be used with like 5-10 people

ok i start a business now

it is;;;
lumber and timber

woodworker: 5.523 M/d
lumberjack: 5.522 M/d

how about there is total worth and that is how much money there is? so total worth right now would be 150 M, but as products are produced, the total worth goes up.

also a raw logg is 8M
2*3 plank is 3M
3*4 plank is 5M
4*5 plank is 9M
5*6 plank is 13M
6*7 plank is 19M

worth of a raw log: 5M
2*3 plank: 1M
3*4 plank: 2M
4*5 plank: 4M
5*6 plank: 6M
6*7 plank: 9M

all of nue's stuff as a worth of 0, so there is 150 money's worth in circulation

not sure I understand

though maybe we should have an inventory and we need workers to keep the inventory there to sell?

no total worth is defined by amount of people * 50 + worth of all the products in the world

so like, if there's 2 people and 5 objects worth 14 monies, then the total net worth of the world is 114.

So why does the computer have no worth?

You haven't defined the worth for the computer yet.

worth of a raw log: 5M
2*3 plank: 1M
3*4 plank: 2M
4*5 plank: 4M
5*6 plank: 6M
6*7 plank: 9M

just do this.

or maybe there could be a default worth, which would be (atleast on google docs) =round(x/2-1)

I am not sure how that would define worth or what your explanation even means.

I see that a 6*7 plank (9M) put into x/2-1 gives the price of the 4*5... but how does that relate to my stuff? It also skips the 5*6 plank.

Telling me to just do something that haven't clearly explained doesn't make sense.

no i mean the price is divided by two, rounded, and then subtracted by one.

would that not be round(x/2)-1?
Either way that should be the same.

Also what price? And by doing this mathematical operation to the price, what are we solving, the value of what exactly? This is where you aren't clear.

@last sentence: the net worth the value of everything in the world or of that item
@second last sentence: the mathematical operation is solving the worth of that item, and in this case the better computer is worth 6 moneys, because its price is 13 monies.
@third sentence: the price that you set for the better computer, which is 13.
so if you assign the better computer a value of 6, then the value of the world is 156, so the current money is now worth 4% more than it was before the better computer existed.

what if I set it to 0

I think I get what you are talking about though now lol

why would I set the worth then?

if you set it to zero then it would have no value, and the world would still be worth 150 moneys.
